C.D.I. came out later then 1976 a distributor cap ignition and points are electrical!

Stock it would have had an electronic distributor. Points distributor went away in 1974. People that didn't understand them would yank them out and stick in a points type dist often. That 78 listed below definitely did not come from the factory with a points distributor.

Hi,,, I had a 73 chevy monte carlo with a 350 and it had points in it,, and my parents old 78 has points also.... its a 305....
