How do I get a copy of my high school report card when I graduated 17 years ago?

I graduated high school in 1989. Unfortunately, for whatever bizarre reason, one of the universities I am applying to wants a copy of my grades. I know that my high school probably won't have them on file. Where can I go to request them?

I attended school in California, by the way.

Your high school may not have them on file at the school but they are obligated by law to keep on file somewhere for 99 years, yes 99 years. I graduated in 1985 and a job that I just switched to asked for a copy of my high school records. I simply contacted the high school and told them the deal, sent them some cash and I recieved a copy of the transcripts in a couple of weeks.

Call the school district's administrative offices and request your high school transcript.

I had to get my high school transcript for college admissions and all I did was contact my high school and they sent them right to the college for me.

send a letter to the school that you graduated from & request one
