Considering Matthew 18, would God be more pleased if Satan repented and became saved or if you did?

God wants us ALL to be saved. Satan has made his choice. Should he repent (doubtful) God's love would accept him.

The function of Satan in later Judaism and in Christianity is to explain how evil can exist in a world created by an all powerful God. That was not the case in early Judaism - read the Book of Job, for instance, where Satan in one of God's associates. Of course Satan cannot 'repent'. That's not his job.

Salvation has not been offered to the angels who fell. Only humans. As to whether GOd would be more pleased, we have to understand that the Bible also teaches that God is a God of righteous anger. Not just love. For those whom has has not offered salvation, he is pleased to condemn them.

The little ones in Matt 18 are a reference to God's elect. They are called "sheep" which is often how Jesus described his children. God is not willing that any of his elect perish.

Satan is not human and cannot repent, just like all the angels can't repent. They either sin or didn't . Seems like a tough break for them. But humans are the only creatures that can experience forgiveness from God.

Perfect you hit in the head, imagine the devil repent and God forgive him and give him a chair to the left or to the Right of him, and remove one of the thieves then there is no more evil in the world and there will be no more prayers to cast the devil one out of our lives. No more crimes no more jails no more inhumanities no more mad judges no more tyrants, Lets all pray for the forgiveness of Satan and baptize him with a new name like the one he used to have.

Since it is 100% impossible for Satan to repent, then God is much more pleased when we do.

These Scriptures refer and speak of God's children here on earth, who were made in God's spiritual image, You have to look at the whole Bible in context, Satan is or was not created in the Spiritual image of God, therefore, Matt. 18 does not apply to him.

This wasn't talking about Satan - it was talking about people who don't know God. Satan cannot be saved - he had his chance and chose to disobey and disrespect God. God rejoices when one of His children come to Him. He already is rejoicing over those that are already His.

Me. Satan is not one of his "sheep" for starters. Secondly, Satan KNOWS there is a God, and made a desicion a looon time ago to reject it. He is too prideful to crawl humbly home.

God is pleased the same for whomever gets saved.
