Do you have tips for playing sudoku?

Some of my relatives introduced me to sudoku last month, and I am slowly learning.

However, I seem to run into problems when I get too involved. I've lost count of the number of times I've ended up with the same two figures throughout the puzzle in the wrong position, and that totally throws me out of the loop.

How can I know that I'm solving the puzzle correctly before I end up erasing the whole puzzle and starting over?

And does anyone recommend any books or puzzle books that may be better suited to a beginner? The one I have at the moment is the Sudoku Puzzles from the Puzzler books, which I know I can get in Canada, where I am, as I saw it in a bookshop two weeks ago. Maybe there's something that's aimed more at my (lack of) expertise?

ok so in sodoku you are trying to fill all the numbers. To figure out if the number you are selecting ofr the box is correct, you can follow the steps below.

    1. Check to make sure the number is not on the same line, verticle or horizontal.

    2. Make sure the line isnt in the 3X3 box already.

    3. to be absolutely sure, you can check the other lines to see if the number would be placed there. for example, if you were to put a 3 on a line, check horizontal and verticle spots that are open. If they are open, check that spot if it already has a 3 in it. If it does have a 3 along its line, that one more box you dont have to worry about.

    4. If you really cant tell which number goes into the box, really small, draw the possible numbers in that box and the ones around it. Soon you will figure out which number is where, and you will win.

The best way to solve these puzzles is to keep trying, just keep on it unit till you find a solution. There are several sites too that offer sudoku puzzles of varying complexities. They also provide help to check the results as you progress solving the puzzles.

The best method manually is to start from one corner and consider possible numbers for each squares. If the square has just one possible number fix it. Move through all the squares in order until you are finished with one full set.

Practice makes perfect, maybe a little practice at the the site would help

only shop working in the direction of. initiate out at hassle-free as possible. you will learn new hints of adjusting the puzzle the greater you artwork the puzzles. in case you get incredibly caught on a puzzle, set it aside, and in line with threat artwork on yet another one. do no longer forget approximately to return returned to the incomplete puzzle nonetheless. I additionally does not propose shifting to greater stable puzzles till you have mastered the better ones. that's not a reliable thought to frustrate your self with a greater stable puzzle that's out of skill point, then dropping activity contained in the puzzles altogether. a pair of coaching for beginning out: -seem on the puzzle on the crammed in numbers. in case you spot one or 2 digits that are already contained in the puzzle plenty, ensure the only places that type could be positioned. (ex: 6 of the super squares have already got 5s. ensure the place the different 5s could be positioned and fill in a small 5 in those squares. Now you recognize that 5s won't be able to be positioned in the different sq..) you may nicely be waiting to fill in some numbers that are definites. -p.c.. a row/column with quite some numbers already crammed in. struggle via each and every of those squares and hit upon what are the only numbers which could pass in those squares. do no longer forget approximately to seem contained in the bigger sq. as nicely with the aid of fact the row and column. only are not getting too pissed off. in case you get so caught you think of there is not any help, placed each and every of the puzzles away and placed across them out in a pair of hours with a clean seem at issues. you will see issues which you missed the 1st time. that's dazzling how the recommendations works.

try writing in smaller print, in each square all the numbers that will fit in that particular square, and then one by one eliminate each number.
