Scarred or traumatized by a movie?

I saw The Exorcist when it came out thirty years ago. I slept with the light on for a week. I never saw it again....I wouldn't say I still am scared of it, but it was a movie with pure evil in it. No surprise, since it was about satan.

P.S. I could throttle that woman for taking a three year old child to that movie.

My daughter watched 'Signs' without my knowledge when she was about 6 years old and she was traumatized for a LONG time after that - more than a year. She's okay now, but it's been four years....so I'd have to say yes!

of course it's possible, how many people do you think are afraid to swim in the ocean after jaws came out! Every time I go swimming in a lake I think about friday the 13th and Jason Vorhees. Seriously, nobody would ever think about the things that go bump in the night if it weren't for horror movies, but the fear of it is half the fun.

Training Day (2001) left me with a morbid feeling, starring Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. It could happen and probably does.

Yep- watched the Crow in first year uni- had night mares for a week then got over it...and then two years later woke up one night terrified that I was going to die- I think it had something to with knowing that the actor dude died making the movie. I wouldn't watch it again- probably have reruns of nightmares.

Yes, I remember seeing Carrie and at the end of the movie, the hand came up out of the ground. Scares me to this day....and that was about 25 years ago!!

you are able to combat the monsters away in the event that they have been actual, in spite of everything you're a human. consistent with threat you are able to consume the monsters :D JK do another events, have a great form of exciting and you will possibly overlook. Have plans for the next day, so which you would be too excited to think of on the subject of the movie. quickly thinking on the subject of the movie might get boring. If it helps, turn on the lighting fixtures once you sleep on my own?

My mother took me to see "The Exorcist" when it first came out. I was three years old and I was traumatized for MANY years after that! I would have nightmares about that levitation scene. Thank God it didn't turn me off all horror films 'cuz I LOVE horror!! (But it still bothers me to see "The Exorcist"!)

I was haunted by the movie Sophie's Choice for a long time after seeing it, that was almost 25 years ago.

My Mom saw the Exorcist while she was expecting me, freaked out and didn't sleep for two weeks. I swear that has to be why I absolutely can not tolerate any kind of scary movie. I never even made it through Jaws (*wimp ha ha)
