Is the kingdom of heaven within?

Jesus said that the kigdom of Heaven is within and He was refering to the ability to have the truth of God by taking it into the heart and living by it,this is a grounding for the state of Heaven after death.

There are two kingdoms talked about by Christ, one is the kingdom of heaven, and the other is the kingdom of God. The kingdom of heaven should really be translated as the kingdom under the heavens and refers to what God is doing on this earth. It is the work of God on earth, (the church) but contains evil within it. The Kingdom of God, Jesus said, is within you, in your heart, and that is where God is ruling. In Romans it says the Kingdom of God is righeteousness and joy and peace in the Holy Spirit. When Christ rules in our hearts, and we are under His control, there is those three things ruling in our lives and that is really what Christianity is all about.

The heaven that we go to after we die is called Heaven, not the Kingdom of Heaven. It is a totally different place than on earth or within us.

From my experience, there's more than one correct interpretation of Scripture. Martin Luther taught that in the Lord's Prayer, when we pray "thy kingdom come" we are asking for God's will to be done on earth....to help be the effective change the world needs in order for God's will to be done here. I think that Heaven is a place, but the Kingdom of Heaven is more a spiritual ideal that we try to live out here.

You do not realize what that verse is saying. God is telling us as christians that Heaven- God's kingdom and Christ are in us- not physically in us- there is an ACTUAL heaven. But to keep our minds focused on HIM. Ours is the kingdom of Heaven- Christ and our eternal life have been granted when we Believe in Him.

Yes,although this has been a stumbling block for many.At this point,I can't explain it "logically",but I know it's true.I would need to introduce many ideas and words that are not part of the Christian vocabulary.This is one of the best questions I've come across.Beware of quick, simple answers.

If you look for it you can find heaven on earth in this life.
