Yes. It is called a network card, PCI with Ethernet cable adapter. Easy to install, and not too expensive, but your computer may be too slow to process data that fast due to a slow 'buss'. Even so, it could be from 50-100 times faster than dial-up. You might also need a better video accelerator card than the one you have. Again, easy to install and relatively cheap these days.

Yes, most all computers have these expansion ports on the back where your modem is, many people upgrade and get dsl or cable through that port. My old computer only had a dial up until i added more expansions to it. There are also these cool USB adapters that allow u to do it.

Yes it is possible to run "adsl" on your computer Like a previous suggestion, you could buy a 10/100 Nic card to place into your computer. A "Network Interface Card" with a speed of 10/100, could be connected by way of a Cat 5 cable, from computer to a special modem for adsl. Your internet provider may help you with the correct modem, at a rental fee.

Why don't you call the DSL companies and explain what type of computer you have. If DSL is available in your area they will do everything they can to help you install it properly.

Let's be honest - I've seen many people try to have a VW bug run like an Astin Martin.

    Consider the costs involved:

    add more gadgets $???.??

    buy an upgraded computer to

    stop the aggravation.

With today's costs, buy the best you can afford, you'll thank me for it.

The more junk you put on an antique, the more headaches you'll get

    Good luck.
