Because Yahoo Answers is more personalized. You can construct a question any way you like, plus add details. You then get several or even dozens of answers to your specific question.

Google and other search engines have a different function. They are meant to offer you an extensive, worldwide collection of "static" websites on a very wide variey of topics. It's what you see is what you get. Some find searching on Google difficult After all, who has gone to college to study boolean algebra (AND, OR, and NOT) which, by the way I have and they work opposite to what you would expect, plus who could possibly know that you must encompass a quoted phrase or string of words with quotation marks in the search box?

In Yahoo Answers, many often refer to websites. Plus, it's kind of fun to see what everyone is thinking about some subject - especially if it applies only to you.

Wikipedia is greater reliable, as articles (not questions) are consistently open, so by no skill closed, and the customers average one yet another. Wikipedia is meant as a consumer maintained encyclopaedia, meaning that it is going to basically incorporate info, so no own comments. Questions asked on Yahoo! solutions would be closed at one 2nd, and then no consumer can upload to the solutions anymore, correcting blunders of others. solutions to questions that are published on Yahoo! solutions do not consistently require a actual answer, each so often an opinion is asked and of direction every person could have a distinctive opinion. while info are asked for, specific customers will nonetheless provide their own opinion, which might recommend that they answer the question wrongly, yet as quickly as closed, this could't be corrected anymore. asking for the main suitable anti-virus answer is a stable occasion, as there are info available to respond to the question suitable, yet customers nonetheless respond per their own selection, which isn't per info in any respect.

Because not everybody is a "know it all" and knows how to look up things online like some of us do. And why didn't you do a search for your question cause this question has been askk several times already.

A lot of times, it's because they want a more personal, more "man on the street" answer, as opposed to the encyclopedic answers you might find on Wikipedia.
