How would a lady in her 50's who has never had a period experience the menopause?

History is sketchy and difficult to obtain.

I believe the hot flashes would be one symptom, even without a past history of periods, or unexplained depression or moodiness. I stopped having periods in my 20's and am now in my 50's, and I am feeling the effects of menopause as described above.

Menopause is the ceasing of a woman making eggs. If the woman never had a period, she never made eggs, so no...she wouldn't have a menopause.

my friend has never had a period, yet she still gets the signs of being due on. It is all to do with the hormone highs and lows. The fact that no egg is produced is neither here nor there.

I would get hold of a copy of Fertility, Cycles and Nutrition by Marilyn M Shannon. It contains loads of advice about a whole range of womens issues.
