I used to be able to see THUMBNAILS of my picture files in "my picture" for windows, but now I only see a file
Now I only see file icons, even when it is in thumbnail view. I use windows XP. How can I get thumbnails back?

Go to my documents ... my pictures ... and at the top of your screen to the right of the "folders" you will see an icon with small little colored squares, click it to open and you can change the viewing of your pictures any way you want. Just experiment with it to see what you can do with it.

simply put open the folder my pictures in its own window click on the menu view and then click on thumbnails
