Anyone ever had thermagge treatments? Chemical peels?
I have heard that they can be painful and the results may not be that noticeable. Any opinions? Thanks!!

Chemical peels are AMAZING!
I had very hyperpigmented skin due to acne scars and peels were the only thing that worked for them....depending on your skin type and needs, some peels may not be right for you. They are rarely painful!!

I've had a few chemical peels. The first one or two were totally fine - no pain, no redness, nothing. The next few (after the concentration is upped) stung a bit and my skin was temporarily red. Everyone's skin reacts differently, though - the tech should make a face map and test your reactiveness before they apply a peel.
I found the results to be so-so. My skin was brighter and 'cleaner', but I didn't notice any massive changes, however I only had about four treatments. It really depends on how many chemical peels you receive, though; the more you get, the higher the concentration and the better the results will be. Chemical peels are great for removing sun spots and other dark areas but you must get continual treatments to get rid of any completely.
The best thing to do is find a spa or skin clinic that specializes in such treatments and ask them for more information. Usually, they'll have brochures and an in-depth explanation of what typical results are and if you're a good candidate. :)

If you go to a good person and you use proper prep treatments before and after, such as lotion, you will have GREAT results. Just dont go to a lousy doctor and try to get a cheap deal. You need and deserve only the best when it comes to cosmetic procedures. =]. Oh, and sinclair and valentine... http://www.sinclairandvalentine.com/ offer great products that can help. Their lotions are amazing. But you cant order from online. You can get their products at Costcos..ect i believe.
