How do you password protect an entire folder?
Instead of protecting individual documents or spreadsheets, is there a way to protect the entire folder where you file them? I'm at work and our HelpDesk is off for the holidays. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Folder guard? Software folder lock? WoW! I thought I knew a bit about PC's, but you'll have to talk to me like I'm 4 because neither of the first two suggestions make any sense to me and I wouldn't know where to begin looking for a guard or lock. Explain please!! I do appreciate it! (:
I have Windows XP Professional, but don't laugh, we are using MS 98 2nd Edition.

by zipping up the folder (compressing it) you can password it. but the compression program built into windows xp does not give you that option. You need another compression program such as winzip, which can be found at winzip.com. it accomplishes the same thing as windows compressed folders does, but it give you more options, such as password protecting the compressed folder (.zip file)
