Check out the big box stores, and make sure you take something to jot down price and model info.. you'll be surprised how quick everything starts looking cloudy after you've looked at enough of them.

Ask them about delivery and removal of your old machines if applicable, as these proces usually vary from store to store.

Also, don't overlook the independent small mom and pop type retailers, this is one of the places these establishments shine in both price, knowledge and any necessary service calls... We bought most of our appliances from an independent place, they were helpful, ahd great prices and also service what they sell in case that ever becomes necessary - try giving those places a look too.

And if you're looking to save money, try looking for models with slight asthetic blemishes that places often discount, Sears operates a "scratch & dent" place in my area - sometimes you can find a bargain, and sometimes it's all crap - it's hit or miss.

    it depends on your budget.

if you need financing, you might wanna try sears and best buy. they usually have a longer no interest financing on appliances.

you may want to browse their websites so you'll know what they offer and how much their prices are.

do some researching on what kind, make of a certain appliance, is it a gas or electric? do you have a big family or a smaller one?

most home centers have a wide range of appliances. take your time and not rush into buying.

also check their delivery options some are free, some aren't. some will offer a mail in rebate.

    good luck.
