Muslim women are not allowed to wear the vail.?

So i ask you, why do we allow the sikh's and hindu's to carry a knife, and they are also allowed to carry a knife whilest they are drunk. So why put sanctions on the veil and not on hind'u and sikh's for carrying a knife?

Your right and it's a load of rubbish anyway, why would some poor woman allow her self to be dictated to like that, and it looks like one rule for and one rule for another

I can tell you this much. It's not a knife, it's a kirpan and the reason we don' t tell people around us we're wearing it is because they make it a bigger issue then it really is. Sikhism yes we do wear the kirpan not everyone does, but sikhism most people who truly are religious usually wear the kirpan, and if they are truly relgious they would follow the teachings that say we should never drink or smoke.

I agree though you shouldn't put sanctations on the veil if it's their belief, just respect other religions. A lot of people misunderstand relgions which causes a big conflict, when it's not.

I think people should be allowed to wear what they want. It really makes no difference. People are getting carried away with this whole thing. Not being allowed to wear crosses while working in an airport, no veils for people in schools. Soon I won't be allowed on a train in my leather hat! It's all getting silly!

it's because people get afraid with someone who use veil. They also thought that those person is mysterious. Maybe people put the sanctions because they don't want to its community change by the person who use veil. Actually, I think people just don't want put the risk on their community if they're allow someone use the veil. In my opinion, it's everyone right to use what they want to use or not on their appearance.

What you say is correct, I do not believe that women or men should have their faces covered in public, as for knives religious or not they are illegal so they should not be carried and if they are then the person should be prosecuted, as would a so called christian if he was found to be carrying.

You need to try to talk sense.

NO ONE is allowed to carry a knife.

The difference between a veil and a turban is that a veil covers the face, which is a security risk and hinders communication.

    v. good point! i actually wish i could wear a veil myself, individually as a independent choice of my own. People love to place their own authority on stuff they think they have a point about basic human rights of people, yet they always seem to do the total opposite.

they should live how we live in our country, we have to abide by their rules in their country's, if they dont like it they should bugger off. if i went down the street at night wearing a veil, nothing would come of it, if i went down the street at night wearing a balaclava im sure i would be stopped, but if i turned round and said "its to keep my face warm or its my own personal choice", im 100% sure i would not be believed. for security reasons NO ONE should be allwoed to cover their face unless medically exempt

a knife, a veil, wouldnt want to meet them in a dark alley!

Why don't those of the eastern ways go east and allow those of the western ways to live in peace?
