hooking up with an ex good or bad?

I stopped talking to my ex-gf for about 3 weeks when she started sniffing around again. I decided I would be her friend because I do not really care if I get back with her or not. She has a bf and I have been dating other girls nothing too serious tho. Anyways last night we were out drinking and I gave her a ride home and we ended up hooking up. It was making out and I stopped it from going further because I did not want things to be awkward for her. She was fine today when we hung out. Just wondering if this was a good or bad idea. In some ways I would like to work things out with her but at the moment she has a bf so it isnt going to work now or maybe ever. Should I go back to no contact with her?

It was wrong.  For both of you.  Since she has a boyfriend already, that was definitely cheating.  You knew she was involved, so you are in the wrong.  She knew as well, so she was in the wrong as well.

I appreciate that you cared about her feelings, but it was not a good idea especially since there is an innocent victim - her boyfriend.  You should stay out of her romantic life for right now, especially if she is happy with her boyfriend.  If they break up, then you can pursue her.  Whether you are in a serious relationship or not, it seems like she is.

I hope things work out for both of you, but I would consider the following:  She was willing to cheat on your boyfriend.  Do you have a guarentee that she would act differently with you?

 if so then the answer is no you should not get back with her

better keep it just as friends
