Is Bancroft in Onatrio a pretty town? and area around it?

Absolutely on the 2nd count but not so much on the 1st, though it depends on what you consider "beautiful".

I've got a cottage just a half an hour outside of Bancroft so the area is beautiful to me. However, it is your basic north-eastern Ontario cottage country so it looks a lot like most areas. I prefer it to the Muskoka's since it's popularity is so high and traffic on the water is ridiculous.

its a small tourist town, I'm 1 hour south of it , great fishing
