Unfortunately not too many of the people who reply are smart enough to understand what is going on in the world. They aren't well read nor are they even reasonably intelligent. World politics is an extremely difficult subject and it requires a great deal of study and analysis. Most people who reply are too emotional and not practical in what they say. I have been at it for many, many years and I must admit that I have a lot to learn about what makes this world of ours go around.

If you think it's such a bad place to go for Politics and Government questions, why are you here asking one?

Because people think ridiculous questions about Women's

    Suffrage are answerable

    edit:

I didn't mean to imply the people that answered such questions are ridiculous, just that relevant issues are often overlooked

becuse the participants are less litrate about the situations and policies which plays big role in everyday politics.

Beacause to address most questions we would need to spend 30 minutes going in depth about issues surrounding questions and most people are really busy.

Too many angry partisans...who would rather offer more heat than light. No one wants to discuss issues in a sophisticated manner, but to use Answers as a propaganda tool or spin machine.
