If you have a mesuring cup, well, chop them up and fill it. Chop into smaller pieces for more exact, reach the 1 Cup mark I assume

just estimate more than a cup if it says a cup then put 1 1/2 cup or if it says 3 cups put 3 1/2 to 4 cups in, it wont ruing the recipe if you put just i little much or a little less. Dont worry so much about it.

I'd try a measuring cup. But hey that's just me.

They're "whatever the recipe asks for" first. Sliced usually. Then just pack them lightly in a cup.
