Christmas Gift For 16 Year Old Daughter?

I need suggestions for my daughter for Christmas.

She doesn't have any idea what she wants for Christmas. I let her burn CD's off the internet - legally of course, so that's out. She has a stereo and a mp3 player, a cell phone and is pretty well set up for clothes. Any idease? She is a really good kid who always keeps her chores done and gets straight A's.

Well, I'm 17 and I love a hope chest my grandma gave me. An old cedar chest. Maybe a beautiful necklace or maybe a birthstone ring (if she likes jewlery). Giving her extra cash, or even asking her where she would like to spend the day! Getting her a pedicure or manicure, spa day, massage...it's enough to make any younger girl feel like she has a sense of responsibility and an air of maturity to live a little more extravagant life..even if it is just a $50 massage!

Digital camera--Thats what 2 of my girls want. They have a deal now where you can buy the printer that goes with the camera and they can print their own pictures.Probably would get expensive buying ink and photo paper though. One of my other girls wants an IPOD that plays videos too.I don't know much about them so I don't know the cost of one yet.Maybe an aquarium with all the accessories.Does she have a TV in her room? You probably won't like this idea but I got my son a Ball Python last year.He loved it and then my girls wanted one.Hope this helped.Good luck and Merry Christmas to you and yours!!

A vanity, I am 17 and a half and I have wanted one for a long time! Maybe a digital camera, maybe some good books or something like that. Some kids actually do like to read.

I would get her some jewelery like a ring, necklace, bracelet, anklet, toe ring, a pair of earrings something like that and also if there is something that was given to your mom by your grandma then to you by your mom you could give it to her. It would probably be a special treasure that has been in your family for a while. Good luck on finding something. ;-)

My daughters are 16 and 13, I let them pick out their "big" gift this yr. My oldest one picked a huge jewelry box(she likes jewelry and she also likes to make it),my youngest one picked out a big key board(she likes music, she plays the trumpet). And the other stuff we bought them was stuff like purses, clothes, scented candles, perfumed bath sets,DVDs,and other small things we know they are interested in.

Would she think a hope chest was too old fashioned? She's getting about that age, and they are such a nice keepsake. I am finding that my kids are appreciating things more and more that are a turn away from all the technology.

  • digital camra, laptop, a one day vacation for her and her friend, one day at the waterpark, high lights, make up, a new and improved cell with a camra, pet, money, credit card

  • a coach, or dooney and burke purse, and remember the tinner and the cutter the better, but not too small.
