lol! for my first recital i was 4. nothing really happened at the recital. i was horrible but really cute as expected for a 4 year old. and everyone said i did really well. and i got flowers. but the funniest part was at the rehersal. we were on stage and i was in the front row. my teacher was standing below the stage but like her head was at the stage level. well i went to do a shuffle-step and when i shuffled my shoe flew off and hit my teacher in the face!! i didnt kick very hard so it didnt hurt her. but it was hilarious to everyone else. i cried for the next hour because i felt so bad tho!

i was 3 and and in two numbers, under the sea and swinging on a star. I remember this kid in the under the sea number crying and not moving so i went past her and did my dance. In the other number I remember some girl's tap shoe flying off into the audience when she kicked. Ive never been really nervous I guess maybe when I danced with some of the dancers from nashville ballet and had to do a bunch of fouettes. I was one of the blue girls in the pas de trois from Les Patineurs and there was no place to spot the fouettes. i pulled them off though and now I just go out there and do my thing. Dance is a part of me.

I've been taking ballet since I was almost 4, and I remember that first recital only too well....I got to wear a yellow tutu and wear glittery slippers so I was happy, even though I couldn't remember all the steps :) A few years later I was cast to be Marie for the New York Ballet, and that scared me WAY more than my first one!!!! :)

I was three, dressed as a little pink bunny and dancing ballet to "Peter Cotton Tail" I don't remember much considering how young I was. But I do remember sharing my fruit snacks with my classmates and coloring backstage. I also remember all the make up my mom put on me. Being three and not very careful, my lipstick kept rubbing off and the little bit of mascara I had on kept itching my eyes! I remember watching my teacher do the steps with us off stage in case we forgot while performing. I also remember getting roses after wards and hugging my older cousin (also in the recital) and lots of pictures being taken. I've never really been nervous, just used to it I guess! (I'm 14 now)

my first dance teacher was actually a nun. i was 7 when i first danced. my nun teacher let me wear this halter leotard that exposed my back too much. it was ok except for the part that the whole thing was loose. anyway, i don't remember the music but i know it's something beautiful. i also know that i had steps like little mermaid.
