I agree people who abuse animals and children deserve to be punished the same way they punched their victims!

Why people abuse their animals in the first place is questionable. They may do it because they grow tired of having a pet, or they may just do it to see how the animals reacts. Then of course the animals get aggressive, so they try to attact their owners, then the animals are abused some more. My views are that this has to stop NOW!! If we do nothing to protect these animals, then we are looking at maybe thousands of animals getting abused in the next few years which would be horrible!! But yeah, you do make a point by saying that people who abuse their animals, should be treated the same way. I think one thing we could do is educate people on animal abuse and help them find ways to protect animals from abuse. If we could do this, then I think there would be less abuse for animals.

I have a visceral reaction to animal abusers of "treat them the same way that they do the animals" but I try to quell it...
On a realistic level, I think anyone who abuses an animal should be legally banned from ever owning one again (and have that ban enforced), and any/all animals they have should be immediately seized.
They should have to AT LEAST serve community service in a job that ASSISTS animals without having direct contact with them, such as cleaning and disinfecting empty kennels or cleaning up dog parks (I wouldn't trust a person who has abused animals to have direct contact with them), and have a permanent note on their criminal record.
I also think that animal abuse should be a felony, not just a misdemeanor. In some states it's being elevated to a felony, and I think that is a step in the right direction.

u r right. if u abuse animals then u should be treated the same way. and u should also be put in jail because anmials can't fight back like we can. if u abuse animals ther must be something seriously ****** up because that is so completly wrong. and they should also be fined a lot of money and maybe it might teach them to be kind to animals and treat them with respect.

I think people who abuse animals, should be treated the same way. I think they are just the most disgusting people if they abuse animals. Unless, it is in self defense. but even then, if you HAVE to kill it, do it in the most quick and painless way possible.

They should be put in jail for a LONG time. People who abuse animals are just the same as people who abuse or hurt other people. There should be no tolerance for it.

They should directly be treated the same way until they die slowly and painfully. Sorry but I just cannot stand those things called...human???????????? Animals are so much better than some people.

It's been documented that those who abuse animals are almost certainly going to abuse humans as well.
It's often documented as well that those who abuse animals as a child may grow up to be criminals.
So yes, I believe they should have HARSH prison time.

those who abuse animals are either stupid or have some major issues. that is not the purpose God put them on our planet. they should be treated that way too.
