How to calculate college GPA?
I need to know how I can calculate my college GPA. I've looked at calculators on a search, but all the ones I've seen have a + or - grading scale, and my college doesn't do that. It also needs to be based on the number of credit hours each class counts for.
Because the semester isn't over yet and I'm trying to predict what my GPA will be for scholarship reasons, that's why I don't just ask for a transcript.

A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1, F = 0
if a class is 3 credits and you get an A it is 3x4 = 12 grade points.
so for 15 hours (5 - 3 credit classes) and you get 2 - A's, 2 - B's and 1- C then you would have 4x3 + 4x3 + 3x3 + 3x3 + 2x3 which is 12 + 12 + 9 + 9 + 6 = 48 grade points then you divide it by the 15 credit hours. which is a 3.2 GPA
hope that helps.

I think the basic premise of your posting is not correct. You are seeking to predict a GPA? Not possible. A GPA is based on grades as any website explains. I used Google and found all sorts of sites with more than adequate ways to calculate GPA but none to predict.

My school is the same way with the grading scale. They have supplied us with a website that does it for you as long as you know the quality hours and projected grade.
