1.Turn key to the "on" position but don't start car

    2. Pull the PCM BAT and PCM IGN fuses in engine compartment

    3. Wait approximately 5 minutes

    4. Turn ignition off

    5. Replace fuses

    6. Start the car and then make sure the light has gone off

You need a OBD 1 or OBD 2 (ECU ECM) control unit checker you can even use the Sun Tune or Snap On engine code checker...

You need to know what codes are in there (write them down)and reset the programs (clear). Light will go out if there are no codes... If you didn't fix the problem and the code comes back the light will come back on.

If your car is a V6 model you can pull down ECM and with the ignition off tap on it with a med size screw driver.(don't hammer on it) Start the car if the light is out your ECM has a short in it... V8's don't go out as easy. I don't know why...

Take it to a Tech/mechanic that has a code checker only. If they don't have a code checker keep looking.

    Good Luck
