Internet Explorer 7?

Has anyone downloaded the new Internet Explorer 7. If so how do you find it is working and what do you like or dislike about it?

Search Yahoo Answers, and you'll find many complaints about IE7. Most want to uninstall it.

You're probably better off with your current IE. But better yet, download Firefox 2.0. Some sites are best viewed with IE, but Firefox has an add-on (extension) called "IE tabs" allowing you to view these sites. There are plenty of other add-ons that you can download (they're tiny, 20Kb-200Kb) to customize your browser and make browsing easier and more enjoyable.

My experience with IE 7 has been fine. Then again, my computer is high-powered and running Win XP pro. Also, maintain my computer well since I was an IT person and all (of countless IT people I met, I still don't know any other IT person has as complete knowledge of computers as I do. I guess that says something).

People might have problems with it because its many 'improved' features other than the features that should be remained within internet browsing. Windows security features such as anti-virus, and other malware removal tools might have gotten installed along with IE 7. Then again, I am not in front of those machines so I can not tell you exactly what might be wrong with them.

Assuming IE 7 installed sucessfully on your machine, the features are not too bad. There are other little configurations I am picking up as I use it (My primary browser is Opera, the only 'other' good browser out there). The tab features are not much different. There are page percentage features and of course, pop-up blockers that already existed on IE 7. The way favorites are stored and located is also different. There are also a few other minor features that is a bit too numerous to mention.

I am including one of the IE 7 questions which included a answer to uninstall IE 7. If that failed, there are always the ultimate solution: back-up the files you want and wipe your harddrive clean to start over. Good Luck! :-)

Like many people in this forum, I downloaded & installed IE7, and found it to be a mess I didn't want to deal with, so I uninstalled it and went back to IE6. It just has too many problems right now. It was rushed into production before all the bugs were worked out. If you like Internet Explorer and are used to it, then stick with IE 6 for a few more months.

I tried to download it.. It corrupted files on my pc.. in turn my pc had to be reformatted.. the hard drive was screwed.. I will not be loading it. I will upgrade when 8 comes out.. I have used it though.. it's a cheap version of firefox.. If you want the tabbed browsing get firefox.. IE has to many bugs and firefox is safer..
