You've made some excellent points. The problem with any combination of Water Signs is the tendency to live in Never-land. Additionally, Cancer can become downright cranky which ultrasensitive Pisces does not react well to. And Cancer is a great deal more materialistic and acquisitive than Pisces. Having said that, it's still a good, classic match that unfortunately, didn't work out for you; my condolences. As a fellow Pisces, I believe the Water/Earth combination is preferable.
