I know luxury cars are usually expensive to repair. But what about a ten year-old Acura Integra?
Is that like an exception to the rule? It might share parts with the Civic.
2 AnswersAcura10 years agoXray techs: When you're doing multiple limb studies, is it okay to do all the APs or obliques, etc. in a row?
We're doing competencies in the lab. Typically, I do all the elbow positions (ap, oblique, lateral) and then move on to the forearm and do all those.
Tomorrow we're doing the lower limb. I'm wondering s it okay if I do all the APs in a row (AP knee, AP heel, AP ankle, AP foot)? It seems like it could save time and improve comfort for the patient. I think I even heard someone say that that's how professionals do it. Is this true? But more importantly, is it specifically wrong to do it that way?
I think for our competency we can do it however we want. But I wouldn't want to start doing it that way, if it's a no-no at clinical.
I'm in my first year, first semester of the associate's.
2 AnswersMedicine10 years agoCan I change my router or firewall settings to maintain a fast cable modem speed?
Sometimes my download speed will dip as low as 10% maximum speed. If I power-cycle my router, it fixes this. Is there something I can change on my router or firewall to keep the speed constant, without having to power-cycle. It's a bummer because it takes about 30 seconds. I have a Linksys wireless router and I know how to access the settings. My firewall is ZoneAlarm.
Thanks in advance

Anything else interesting you can tell me about it?
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoWhat's the country in Europe that makes a big deal out of baking cookies for Christmas and sharing them?
I read a magazine article in a food magazine about a man whose fiance or girlfriend was Swiss or Swedish or something. And it detailed how there was a big tradition in their country about baking cookies (and probably other desserts) and how they share them with one another. This all happens around Christmas time.
I can't remember what country it was, but I was interested in looking up some of the recipes.
3 AnswersChristmas1 decade agoDo Canadians eat fake maple syrup like we do?
I'm a 30 year-old US citizen, and I've never even TASTED real maple syrup. I'm just wondering if Canada uses fake syrup like us, or do they only use real maple syrup (on their pancakes).

8 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoESPN Insider help. Can somebody message me the MLB postseason fantasy rankings?
I have a postseason draft on fantasypostseason.com I've looked all over for postseason rankings, but can't find any, and I'm looking for an edge. Can you send me a private message with a copy-paste of the rankings? It would be awesome.
2 AnswersFantasy Sports1 decade agoAre there any types of postseason fantasy baseball games available on the web?
I didn't play during the regular season. But I'm interested now that the playoffs are here. I've got my fantasy football. But is there a postseason MLB game or mini-game I can play to make watching the playoffs more exciting? My preferred website is ESPN, but I've used Yahoo! before. ANY website is fine.
3 AnswersFantasy Sports1 decade agoIs there a device I can buy to send video from a wireless-n router to an hdmi input? PC to TV?
The PC is on the same floor as the TV, but too far for an hdmi cable. It would be too messy.
I have an hdmi-out on my PC. I think they make things that you can plug into the hdmi's that send and receive video, however, I figure if I already have a wireless router, I can save money by not having to pay for the extra technology of sending out the signal by buying that.

I'm trying to find one that's cheap.
All the ones I find never let you search them, based on price.
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoWhat time does the new episode of True Blood come on OnDemand?
I have an unusual situation, where I don't have HBO, but I DO have HBO OnDemand. It was probably a screwup with my cable provider. So, I'm wondering when the new episode of True Blood will be available there (hopefully tonight) so I can watch it.
2 AnswersDrama1 decade agoHow fast are your FILE downloads with Verizon DSL 1Mbps or 3Mbps?
My friend is interested in getting Verizon DSL.
He can't get cable because he's getting free cable TV. He didn't switch it on himself, it was just like that when he moved in. If the cable company goes to install internet at his house, they will figure out he's getting cable for free. (I know, it's kind of wrong, but that's not the point of this question.)
I have cable and I know it's fast. But a file only downloads at about 800kbps on cable (a fraction of the overall speed). So if he can get somewhere near that with DSL I know he'll be fine. I want to know how fast a file downloads from Verizon DSL on their 1Mbps or 3Mbps plan. I'm pretty sure just "surfing the internet" won't be a problem.
I'm sure some of you guys can help. If you know the speed, don't forget to say whether it's the 1Mb or 3Mb plan.

4 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoHas Xbox 360 started using one brand of DVD drive in their new consoles, or is it still a variety?
I'm talking about the different brands of DVD-Rom drives that come in an Xbox 360. They can be from different brands like LiteOn, BenQ, Hitachi and Samsung. But I'm wondering if they stopped shuffling through them and are now building new Xbox's with one type (and which one is it?) I haven't bought mine yet, but I'm trying to plan ahead by knowing which drive it is before I buy it.
It will be brand new, from Wal-Mart.
Thanks in advance
1 AnswerXbox1 decade agoCan I make my own flashcards on the computer for studying, instead of writing them by hand?
They are custom (for psychology class). It will save me a lot of time if I can type them up instead of handwriting them. I want to print them out.
And do you know if they sell sheets of perforated 3x5 inch cards that fit into the printer at OfficeMax? I know they make them, I'm just not sure if they sell them at the store.
1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoHow do you fix the YouTube/Firefox glitch? The video flickers and shrinks into the upper left corner?
I found one solution, that said to revert to Adobe Flash 8.0.42. That does solve the problem for YouTube videos. However, I visit several sites that require the latest version of Flash, and those sites aren't displayed correctly with 8.0.42.
Is there a better solution?
3 AnswersOther - Internet1 decade agoWhere can you find the value of old, foreign paper and coin money?
My father gave me some old bills, and a bunch of old coins and told me to see how much they were worth on the internet. They look like they're mostly from the 1940s. Does anybody know a website or two that will help me? They're probably not worth that much, so I'm not going to pursue it too far.
