MS .net framework 1.1 to 2.0 Quick question.?

If I have .net 2.0 installed, can I delete/uninstall 1.1 or is 2.0 an addon or update to 1.1. which would make them part and parcel of the same package.Memory is not an issue nor HD space, just wondering if those services would crash if I remove 1.1

ps. tried shutting it down through services.msc and msconfig ,ie set it to either disabled or manual for startup .Restart, and this machine chooses not to allow access to flash drives, printers, internet etc. However it only denies this to one at a time ????.Yes I have the latest McAfee Antivirus,I've run ccleaner and defragged.Plus also run Swatit and Hijackthis.Could it be a conflict by having both1.1 and 2.0 running at the same time.? I know I said a "Quick Question",but you know how it goes.

If you need to know my system then please leave a contact email address and I'll get it to you. Thanks everybody.

1.1 and 2.0 are seperate. If you look in your add/ remove programs you will also see them as two seperate things, but i would be cautious reomving 1.1 as there may be programs that depend on it, and they will not work with 2.0. There should be no conflict and really no reason to need to remove one or the other.
