online multiplayer games?

Responding to your question is tricky, without knowing what kind of games you like. But I'm just gonna' assume you want to know what the best MMORPG is--even though someone already gave you this answer--and suggest WoW (World of Warcraft).

Blizzard provides an ENORMOUS environment (called Azeroth) to several million players, globally; and there is almost limitless game-play (especially with the PvP feature and the expansion coming out soon).

I wouldn't suggest the game if I didn't play it myself. I will admit, I was a WoW nay-sayer at first, until my little brother convinced me to build a character on his account-- I was pretty much hooked after that.

But let this also be a warning to you: WOW is online crack. If you're one of those people who can do things in moderation (and God bless ya' if ya' are), then the game shouldn't pose any threat to your social life...Oh yeah, and the learning curve is pretty steep, especially if you don't have much experience playing an MMORPG.

Lastly, have fun! If the game isn't giving you at least that much, don't play (which is kind of obvious, but some people take online realms too seriously).

Games

I like Guild Wars, and the latest release Nightfall is the best so far. It gets a little slow sometimes, but there is no monthly fee. My brother says the Player verses Player battles are great, I haven't tried that yet....

I'm also playing Battlefield 2142, and Battlefield 2. Both great games.
