    According to the website About.com: U.S. Military, the article "Security Clearances', by Rod Powers, the highest is Top Secret; Secret, and Confidential.

    The basics Top Secret, Secret and Confidential. Additionally depending on your duty assignment you may be issued designators.

    I worked with nuclear capable missiles in the army and was trained and assigned a 3K which allowed me to work with these weapons.

    In addition, there is a fourth clearance level known as an SCI, or Special Compartmentalized Information clearance. It is attached to a Top Secret clearance and called a Top Secret / SCI clearance.
