It it true that at Wal-mart ????????

in order to get a job there you have to pass the lazy, I don't care test with at least an 85?

You know the printing on the back of the vest? It should say "how can I AVOID helping you"

I swear the checkers are so busy planning thier night or gossiping with another employee you know they don't care that the customer is the reason for thier paychecks.

26 lines in my local store. On Sunday there anr only 1/2 open. So you ask the manager why no open lines. The answer. Too many poeple called in sick.

Wal-mart. Hire competent people and pay them for a job well done. And get rid of those lazy managers.

Update:

By the way, I don't shop at Wal-mart any more that's the reason for making this question known. Wal-mart is trying to become a monolopy and drive the hardworking, upstanding, reputable businesses out of business.

Sam would be so ashamed! I knew him. He was a good man.

I couldn't have said it better myself.....GOOD JOB. I totally agree with you. The checkers are also to scan a certain number of items thru the checkout in a length of time. I know the price of the items that I take and several times they have been wrong. My sister used to work for Wal-Mart and you would not believe the stories she could tell you.........

Same goes for Home Depot and Lowes. The days of good service are gone. Strange thing is, they could pay people more, to get better people that actually have the knack for this type of work. And by doing this, they would reach a level of profitability that hasn't been reached in a long long time by any retailers. Imagine a store that you walk into and someone asked if they could help you find something or a worker that didn't turn and run when you were trying to approach them. Everyone would shop there instead of Walmart.

If mom and pops were doing so well, they wouldn't have had their butts handed to them on a plate when Wal-Mart showed up in town. I hear how mom and pops were "so good" and Wal-Mart is "so bad"... yet why would customers leave such good service for low prices? What a sad scapegoat to blame your demise on a DISCOUNT store.

You pay the lowest price and don't get a butler to push your cart around?! OMGWTF! Of course they don't have lots of people on the floor - how much help do you really need when you're shopping?

Please, take your biatching elsewhere so I don't have to stand in line while you have a hissy fit at the checkout counter.

You do not have to shop at Wal-Mart. If you don't like the service then go to another store where the service is better.

So many of you complain about many different things and you are the ones that help those that you say you dislike to continue.

Take your money to another place.

It is a simple fact that if you do not want Wal-Mart then don't shop there. If they have no business then they will leave.

I know you will just ***** and still shop there.

I'm not quite sure what your question is.

For what it's worth, the positions at Wal-Mart have a very high rate of turnover. It's not as bad as the fast food industry, but a lot of the same types of problems occur. As a company, Wal-Mart must figure out how to train employees quickly and easily. They want to present the same image to every customer which enters the store.

That being said, there's no excuse for the lazy, gossipy types. I suppose you can report them to the manager with one of the comment cards.

    Hope this helps!

I agree with you! Every single time I go to Walmart, its filled with People, and there are ONLY 3 lines open! Makes no sense! I wouldnt blame the people working there though, imagine all the crap they gotta put up with for min. wadge, Ill probly talk my *** off too.....lol But the management of some stores really dont make sense! You need to get rid of THOSE people

Yeah, I was there last weekend, and I was waiting in electronics to ask a question. 3 clerks were standing there discussing how the sales were doing for the after Thanksgiving Sale, just like I wasn't standing there. By the time they finished gossiping, I had almost forgot what I wanted to ask!

Give me a break. You get what you pay for. People who work at Wal-Mart are paid very little, which means that they charge you less for the things you go in to buy. If you want better service, you'd better be willing to pay more to go to a store where they pay their employees more and therefore charge you more for the things you buy.

They're getting paid about $6.75/hour. What do you expect for those crappy wages? And Wal Mart is not going to increase salaries any time soon! That's one of the big reasons no one wants a Wal Mart in their community.Sure, they create jobs... crappy, low-paying jobs!

I agree, by employing incompetent managers so can cut cost us actually a loss to a company.

Incentives is important for service sector so staff can work with a goal.
