Has anyone used the underwater birthing technique?

I've been thinking about giving birth in the Alternative Birthing Center in the hospital that I want to go to! How did it work for you and how did the water help your labor pains?

dont listen about the 'first breath' 'water' thing. i duno but if u wanna try it they will let u and u can change ur mind in the middle of it if u dont like it. besides everyone knows babys recieve oxygen from the placenta untill its cord is cut. so dont worry about drowning ur baby. good luck!

I wanted to do that!!! but here in houston, the center was NOT IN the hospital so if something went wrong i would be rushed to the hospital and i didnt like that,so i had it the "normal" way... but i see that the center is in your hospital , so , definetively DO IT, i bet the water is very relaxing... :) good luck!

The Le Boyer Method is interesting I researched it but it is not what I picked because I my first child was born high risk and needed to be at a high risk facility. Do your homework and research. I brought a stack of books home from the library and google is your best friend.

the first thing a baby does is take a breath even before it is born completely..God did not intend for us to have babies in water...he wanted us to have babies in bed. ..or on a birthing stool...please do not do this thing..you could kill your baby

and it hurts like hell...take the epidural.

    I had 6 kids..and it was rough.
