Why do people believe we were born carnivors and meant to eat meat?
I don't understand why so many people think that we were meant to eat meat! Our teeth are flat, not sharp, and meant to eat plants. Our stomachs aren't made to digest meats, that's why so many people in the world have stomach and digestive related health problems. Can someone please give me insight as why people are so oblivious to this obviousness?
20 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoWhat is the best form of vegetarian protein to feed to a baby?
I am a new vegetarian and I have a 7 month old baby! Now is the time that I need to start thinking about introducing proteins into her diet. I don't know where to begin. I mean, I know beans are the best source for her, but how do I prepare them to make them easy for her to eat? What are other great sources of protein for her? She eats just about anything I feed her. Can someone please help me?
16 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoDo you reuse cloth diaper plastic covers after each changing or are you suppost to use a new one every time?
I'm thinking about using cloth diapers, but I'm having a little trouble figuring everything out. I've found websites that tell you all about the different cloth diaper system. What I don't understand is when you use a prefold diaper and a plastic cover, can you reuse the plastic cover if you wipe it out or are you suppost to use a new cover every time you change your baby? I think using prefolds will be an easy way to start using cloth diapers until I can build up a nice stack of others like all-in-ones or something!!! Please help!

3 AnswersSmall Business1 decade agoDo you think it's okay to let your baby cry at night?
I've had my first baby and she is only a month old. She is waking up every 2 hours or so! When I told my in-laws about her sleeping hapits, they told me to let her cry for 20-30 minutes and tire herself out!!! I could never do that! It hurts my heart to hear her crying because I know she needs me!!! I know there are many people who let their babies cry sometimes when they wake up, but I want to know what everyone thinks.

1 AnswerWomen's Health1 decade agoCan you use baby wipes on newborns?
It may sound like a silly question to some, but my sister says that you can't use baby wipes when your baby is first born. However, with all of the new Sensitive and Extra Sensitive wipes out on the market I would think that those would be okay! Does anyone know first hand, or used any of these new wipes on their babies?

2 AnswersEnvironment1 decade agoWhere can I donate old denim to be recycled for other products like insulation?
I've seen on HGTV, and read about it online, that a company is recycling denim and repurposing it into insulation for homes. I've looked all over the website and searched Yahoo but can't find out how to recycle MY denim. I have a lot of jeans that are torn and worn out and I can't donate them to Thrift or Goodwill, what can I do without making tons of denim craft projects?
1 AnswerOther - Home & Garden1 decade agoIs it so wrong to want a say in things at your own baby shower?
My mother-in-law is acting as hostess for my upcoming baby shower (which according to etiquette is a no-no anyway). They ask me about what I like and what I want, but when I tell them they sort of think it's dumb or going over board. I don't think of myslef as a traditional person by any means and don't really want a completely traditional baby shower! (I didn't even have a traditional wedding) Why should we have to follow "tradition" and who says we should? Why is everyone thinking that I'm so wrong for wanting a say in what I have at my baby shower? I seem to be doing everything else anyway like invitations, favors, and even finding the place where we're going to have it! Maybe I should just be planning my own baby shower!!!

I'm already married but my husband and I went to the Court house and are now deciding to have a vow renewal for our 1 year anniversary. We can't have a back yard wedding because we don't have a good back yard to have it in! We would like to get a chapel and a hall but need to lower costs for decorating and such! Do you know of any good ways to do that?
