Is There Suppose To Be...?

A difference in a Christian and a born again Christian? The word of God says for all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. When the time comes everyone who repents at the second coming of Christ will be born again correct? The book of Mark says those who are last will be first and those who were first shall be last. So where in God's word does he differentiate between being I guess you are saying a Christian from birth and someone who has been born again? We are all God's people one in the body of Christ or is that wrong?

To be in the body of Christ you must accept Jesus as your savior. Ask Him to come into your heart and bring the Holy spirit to baptise you. We are suppose to become new when we accept Christ. "Behold, old things pass away and ALL things become new." So rebirth is what happens. It is a contiunal process as we are to dye to our flesh daily. We are to renew out minds daily. When we are born again we are able to renew at any moment from now on. If we some how fall away we are to return to the new man/woman as quickly as possilble and that again takes a renewal. God built all of the tools into the process so there is nothing to worry about. I think the bigger problem is that the newly reborn does not get the teaching that is avalible because nobody tells them what all comes with the inheritance. The Spirit of God will show and tell us all in time, but in this World you need all the tools you can get. The word Christian does not a follower of Christ make. You must be born again. The term Christian was a word that the people of the time used to discribe the followers of Jesus and the church shortly after His departure. Today it is even used politically in some countries to discribe docterns of Governments? If God is your Father, and Jesus is your Lord and The Holy Spirit is your teacher and comforter, then call it what ever you want, that is as far as it goes on this Planet. Titles are not you anyway, Truth is, and that is a reflection of God.

It's important for you to understand that NO ONE is born a true Christian. In order to be a true Christian, a person must voluntarily repent from sin, believe Jesus is the Messiah, accept Him as Lord, and follow His commandments. While a person may be born INTO a truly Christian family, this doesn't mean the person is born into salvation. It's SPIRITUAL birth that matters, not PHYSICAL birth (John 1:12-13). Read John Chapter 3 for more information on being Born Again.

You mention those who "repent at the second coming of Christ" being Born Again. Actually, anyone who waits to be Born Again until the Second Coming will NOT be saved. Only those who voluntarily repent and believe are saved; those who wait until they see Him to believe cannot be saved because they have not made a voluntary decision.

Actually, Scripture tells us the unsaved will have "strong delusion" placed upon them following the Rapture of the Church (2 Thes. 2:7-12). While it won't be impossible for a gentile to be saved during this time, it will be incredibly difficult. In essence, gentiles will have the same resistance to the Gospel during the Tribulation that non-believing Jews have on them even today (2 Cor. 3:14-16).

Mark, Luke and Matthew all referred to the last being first and the first being last in the Kingdom of God. However, what Jesus was teaching was a proper spirit of humility. In other words, those Christians who are prideful and lord unrighteously over other Christians will be last (or least) in the Kingdom, since they've already received their reward on earth; those who are humble and earnestly desire to put others before themselves are first in the Kingdom, which is their reward.

    Peace.

WE are not born a Christin, we are born a sinner, only 1 person that was born without sin, & that was Jesus Christ, & John the Baptised, was born with the Holy Ghost already dwelling in him before he was born.

Well first off, born again Christianity is a religion, Christianity isn't. This is because Christianity is an umbrella term for all the faiths that follow the teachings of Jesus. Catholics and Protestants are all under the term of Christians.

In my experience, "Born again" Christians (this is, those that have rediscovered God and been baptised later in life) have a Holier-than-thou attitude about everything (particularly those of non-Christian persuasion).

Anyone who makes a point of mentioning that they are a Born again Christian just needs a (preferably verbal) slap to wake them up to reality.

"live your life as a good person" . . .

    good people go to hell.

you must be born again. this means you're given a new heart with new desires. its evidence of one's true salvation. the spirit will bear witness within them. if you're really a Christian, then you're born-again

The more you mix yourself with the different scriptures, the more dizzy you'll get. Live your life as a good person and God will take care of the rest.
