From what I learned in bio class, the virus mutates to quickly for science to catch up with it.

I think the only way to prevent the spread of the disease is to educate the public. To tell them to use protection and to avoid needles.

Depends on your point of view! People will do whatever they can get away with and damn the consequences! There is a difference between stupidity and ignorance. You can cure ignorance but not stupidity. So it's like telling everyone on the highway that speeding is dangerous and you could get a ticket. People are gonna do what they want then very few will be responsible for their actions and blame others and expect them to come to the rescue. All that said, I think we need to focus on getting medicine to everyone especially the people who cant afford it.

Here's an annoying little contradiction. President Bush is saying that the defeat of AIDS is in our grasp. Faith Based Initiatives began lobbying the government yesterday to reduce AIDS funding because it unfairly discriminates against the Christian message.

    Joy.

I don't think we have come as far as we should have by now. I feel that in order for this to cease we need to make the public more aware of just how much this disease has become an epidemic.

Not far preventing the spread, but rather helping those to get medicine who need it.

Our society is doomed....vd wasn't bad enough, then herpes with no cure didn't stop us, now people will bed down with someone knowing death may be a result......we live in a hoe society, the attitude must change, not a cure.

THINK, is getting nakie worth death?
