Did you build a thick skin over the past few years?

Mine got pretty thick when I wath very young.

Yep, I'm getting sued by everybody around for millions. I don't give a *****. Bring it. I got about five bucks, so they can all get in line!!!!! Fu(k it or fight it, it's all the same. So yes, I have a thick skin and I just keep my head up and say "Yep, I did it, sorry."

Yes, a very thick skin while being a lst Sgt in the u.s. Army.

I actually have to question myself sometimes to see if i'm still human because i can numb myself so easily. It comes so natural. And i'm scared that i've become one of those pessimistic people that refuse to feel anything but contempt.

my 6th grade year was empty...i tried to become a hollow "popular kid", and it made me miserable

i gave up on that in 7th grade, and that year i was made fun of IMMENSELEY

8thgrade i tried to become stronger (emothinally) and it worked....a little bit....insults still hurt me then

now, in 9th grade, i consider myself very strong....i have someone in my class who hates my guts, goes out of his way to make me miserable....and i know it kills him to see his bullying doesnt affect me in the least!

yea i had to. i started working at a prison a year ago and the inmates are not very nice. pretty insultive and they try to rattle you but you can't let them get the best of you.

to a degree...you have to let that junk roll off you like water of a ducks butt I think...but not to the extent that you loose empathy for others...

yep, life kept wrapping itself around and around me til i am unrecognisable.....it would take a surgeon to see the real me any more.
