I think legalized marijuana would put huge pressure on young impressionable teens, and the older generation as well.Smoking is terribly bad for a person lungs and puts a person under the influence, in nearly the same way as alcoholic beverages.I am for the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes, otherwise, I am totally against it.The peer pressure would be so great that millions of people all over the country would be smoking marijuana to get high.Lets pray its never legalized except for medical reason.

Peer pressure to try anything that is taboo in a culture will not go away. Legalization would help control the availability of marijuana to younger people. You'd need to be of a certain age to get it (lets say 21) instead of getting it from some morally bereft dealer who will sell it to anyone.

Historically speaking, the biggest single cause of drug epidemics among US children is anti-drug campaigns. See http://druglibrary.org/schaffer/library/epidemic_c...

If the experience of alcohol prohibition is any guide, legalizing marijuana may significantly reduce use by children. Links to information on the experience of children and alcohol prohibition are contained in the above article.
