Looking for a horror movie title from around mid 70's to 80's...?
An african boy and his older accomplice try to scam a couple in a town. The boy is let into the house, and discovers that they have a basement full of mutated kids that they adopted. The boy and his accomplice try to run from the house, but the wife and husband living in the house are pyschopaths. The husband dresses up in a leather bondage type outfit and weilds a shotgun. The wife hunts them down with a butcher knife. The boy and his accomplice try to escape the large house thru spaces in the walls and stuff, but the movie ends with the mutant kids in the basement coming up through the ground and killing the husband and wife (who are actually sister and brother). I think the title has the word "mansion" in it...? Help please...

I would not recommend It. It's literally one of the most BORING horror films out there. The book was way better. I would, however, recommend anything from Masters of Horror, they're really good movies. Those would include Jenifer, Sounds Like, We All Scream for Ice Cream, etc.

It is The People Under the Stairs. One interesting little piece of trivia that makes watching this film especially weird for some of us: the actors that play the husband/wife brother/sister also played a very strange married couple in the TV series Twin Peaks.
