they can not be stopped completely..because even if ur very careful somehow, they will find their way into ur mail box.. the best way would be to be more careful about the websites u visit..and when u see forms on websites dont just fill them in...also check if ur pc is infected with any sort of spyware or adware..and then as u do keep on marking them as spam mails...if u be careful they will decreas to a tolerable amount...if it does not happen then it might not be such a bad idea to create a new email..but then u will have to be very careful, in order to prevent ur new account from be spammed

If I were you, I'd dump that address. Get a new one, then be careful who you give it out to. Don't sign up for stuff at suspicious websites, don't open spam when you do get it, and don't reply to it. Once you start getting a lot of spam, you might as well just get rid of the address. By the way, DO NOT try to unsubscribe from spam. All that does is let them know it's a valid address, and you'll get even more.

Personally, I'd create a second e-mail address and give it only to my close friends who I know won't just hand it out. Use the spammed up account to sign up for things like newsletters or whatever else and check it every now and then.
Remember that a lot of businesses will try to spam you to get more traffic. Some notorious ones include dating sites, porn, retail store sites, porn, travel agent sites, and porn, just to name a few. Don't go to these kinds of sites and observe other safe browsing habits and you'll be fine.

Have a nice time!

Contacting the responsible part of Yahoo mail service.
I am sure there must be a link or email address where you can explain your problem and receive an answer from them because you will not find a most reliable and official source of information for your answer.

Go to you "settings" and turn Spam Killer on. I used to get all kinds of spam because this wasn't turned on and now I don't recieve any. Good Luck!

You need something to filter it. I use this: http://www.spampal.org/
It is a little complicated to set up, and there is a lot you can do to tweak it so that it gets more and doesn't hit the good ones. But once you get it going it works really well.

you cannot do much or just unsubscribe from that service through their emails or just put all of them in spam everyday or just delete your account and get a new one.
