why is the head of a body always on the left side of the casket vor viewing purposes?

    That is just the way the caskets are made.. they do have a top end for the head and special made with a type of pillow, etc. and their opening(hinges, etc) are standard

    Caskets have a head and foot just like a bed does.

    my guess is because caskets are standardized to open that way.
