Do you see bits of yourself in others?

Emotionally speaking-- okay, maybe even physically speaking...

Maybe it shows that we aren't so different after all...

Sometimes I do. It's a known fact that we bond with certain people and form close relationships with them because they think a lot like we do. And we all have the same basic needs in life, although some more than others.

Of course I do. But not in everybody. Yes I agree, we may not be entirely different from each other, but we're still totally different. In many other ways, it's like you say potato I say potata, I like walnuts, you like almonds, I hate carrots you hate broccoli, etc.

    YES

And... I've noticed that when I find myself "disliking" something about someone's personality, I usually have the same trait.

Of course... this also goes the other direction too. When I find myself "liking" something about someone's personality, I usually have the same trait.

    Ain't that somethin'???

Yes, always....always....I think that's why I connect with different people on different levels. I see bits of myself in them, and I latch onto that...I don't know why, but I do. And when I can make someone smile because of that little bit we share, then I'm happy :)

yes I do and I think that is helps when you are communicating with others...that you have been there done that or you like this or do not like that...it enables you to relate to other people no matter where they are from
