Here are some variables to consider when taking ones temperature: Did you drink something cold before you took your temperature by mouth? Had you just come in from the cold whereby you were breathing in a lot of cold air? Body temps are slightly higher in the late afternoon and lowest in the predawn hours since while sleeping our body temps go down a whole degree or more. Did you take your temperature by mouth or under the arm? The average armpit temp. is 97.4. Keep in mind, an oral temperature of 98.6 degrees is only a average so some people may be a little higher or a little lower, like you. Try taking your temperature at various times during one day or over a three day period and calculate the average to be more accurate as to what is normal for you. Remember to keep a glass thermometer in the mouth for a minimum of three whole minutes with your lips sealed around it. Too, there is a dip in temp. just prior to ovulation.

I think this may be the normal temp for you, not everyone has a temp of 98.6. But to be safe and set youre mind at ease you could ask your dr. or go to youre local health dept. please dont worry

It means your metabolism is lower than normal.
You may also have a thyroid problem, causing you to produce certain hormones that lower your metabolism. OR your Pineal Gland has a problem, messing up your Thyroid, screwing with your hormones (whew, lol).

It just might be normal for you.
