♡Hmmm, I'd only heard that term once before when I first came to Japan 9 years ago and wasn't exactly sure what it meant!

～Besides that though, I've met a few of these 'young ladies' at the Catholic church I go to and they all seem nice enough. They're just regular people. They happen to be in a different line of work than I am, but that doesn't make them any different. They're always polite and nice. Many of them don't like their current situation and change their job as soon as they can. *It's hard for some foreigners to get good jobs here in Japan.* I know two girls who recently got jobs at the local market in the produce section～Good for them! I've never had a problem with any of them. I even volunteer with their group when I have time.

Japayuki is a derogatory term for Asian women working in Japan.

As for whether I - as a straight, married woman - like them, I suppose it would depend on what 'job' they were doing..!

I have to say though, that I don't like the term 'Japayuki', and even my Japanese husband hasn't heard it for years and couldn't remember what it meant! I had to look it up on an online dictionary..! (We do live in Japan BTW, so if it was a common term I would have expected him to hear it occasionally..!)

I dont know about japayuki.. but yes, I find Japanese girls quite attractive in general and yeah, they all have cute squeeky voices ;)

A girl is a girl Japanyuki or real Yuki(snow). By Yuki we can make snow man but with Japayuki you know???

Some of them yes, some of them no - it depends on who you are talking about. I've met a few and some were very nice, but one was not nice - it depends on the girl, not being Japanese.
