Our family always would go to my Grandma's and we'd have ravioli! I hated ravioli, and I had an aunt who would say, EVERY Christmas: "YOU don't like RAV-i-OL-i?!?!? You're STUPID!"
Then she would say the same thing at Easter, as though she had forgotten between Christmas and Easter than I couldn't stand ravioli!
In her defense, she wasn't the only relative who would call me "stupid" for not liking RAV-i-OL-i! On the other hand, she was big and fat and had a fat face and pointy cat-eye glasses that were too small for her fat, shiny face!!
So, my Christmases were always spent being told how stupid I was! Just to let you know, to this day, I STILL can't stand RAV-i-OL-i!

We are having a Mexican food feast, with tamales, enchiladas, rice, beans and cornbread - all made from scratch! My mother fixes this for Christmas Eve every year. Then for dessert, we have a choice of chocolate or lemon pie, cherry cheesecake, banana split cake or lots of cookies - all made from scratch (even the pie crusts)! Needless to say, my mother is an excellent cook!
