Electric wheel chairs for fat people?

Ok is it right or wrong for the theme parks in the US to give electric wheel chairs to fat people who cant make it around the parks? I realise of course some people need them thru medical problems but the vast majority are just over weight obese people who thru there own fault are so unfit they need an electric wheel chair which is supplied on entrance to the parks. Does it not encourage them to not lose weight and perhaps the walk would do them good. Plus they get to the front of queues! Or am i just being picky cos 3 of them ran over my foot!?

Update:

Very sorry to hear your troubles bubbles and i agree an electric wheel chair would of suited your needs but seeing first hand the amount of "larger" people using these wheelchairs there was nothing that could convince me they were ill and needed them. I watched 100's of them just leap out at the rides or sit there stuffing food in themselves. All im saying is perhaps the exercise would do them more benefit.

Hope you had a good hol by the way!! I think it's unfair. The exercise would do them the world of good! Beats me why they bother going, I mean people who need an electric wheelchair just to get around cos they're so fat must really struggle to get on the rides. Getting to the front of the queue is a joke as well, that right is for disabled people who cannot get in the queues. These fat@rsed lazy gits should park their electric wheelchair and queue like evryone else has to for the rides.

Life is made too easy for some of these really obese people, it is their fault they got in this state through overeating fast food and they should be encouraged to exercise and lose the weight!!!

on some points i do agree with u. i dont think that overweightr people should be given wheelchairs to get around in theme parks. they should be encouraged to walk further to lose some of those pounds.

i dont no if u r being picky cos 3 of them ran over ur foot it would depend on whether they all did it at once lol x

One part I do agree with you that there are some overweight people that are lazy and will use the scooters, however are any of you guys either a fully trained nurse or doctor, and do you know the fat person as you call them, do you know if they have any health problems? if not then I am afraid you have no rights whatsoever to judge these people. I myself am overweight, look at my profile on this site, I suffered kidney failure amongst loads of other disabilities including strokes.

I feel the same way. If you have a broken bone or something then fine use the scooter. If you are a fat tub of lard you need to do a little walking. I see it every time I go to the store. Fat people using the scooters instead of cripple or injured people. The fat people are just lazy and need to get some excersize.

Why should someone who has pleasured themself in to obesity deserve even more pleasures like being the first in the queue? Absolutely not, I completely disagree with them being allowed to bump the queue, although if they need the chairs I propose they pay vast amounts for them, and the money that they spend on them goes to fat people meetings, dietry information etc.

Yes, these people need to exercise. Giving them electric wheelchairs only makes their problem worse. Letting them in front of the que is outrageous. That should be for handicapped people only.

i don't think just because people are over weight or fat has you put it that they don't have a medical problem you just presume they don't well i use a scooter to get around and i am over weight (fat} but i do have a medical problem but i don't ride around with a placard on my scooter stating it i would give any thing to be able to walk around and not depend on my scooter or sticks and its common sense if your not mobile you will put on weight have a thought for disabled people in the future and while i don't wish you any harm remember what goes around comes around
