Got some math problems I don't understand, Help Please?
I have my own answers but i don't think they are right. Please help.
1.) x^2+2x=0
2.) x^3-4x=0
3.) x^2+2x-15=0
4.) x^3+8x^2+16x=0
5.)x^4-13x^2+36=0
And if you could please, tell me how you do this i just factored and set two equations to 0. Don't know if that's right. Thanks.

1 factor the x... x(x+2) = 0 set both = 0, so x=0, x=-2
2. factor the x ... x(x^2-4) = 0 then (difference between squares)
x(x+2)(x-2)...set all to 0 and solve so.. x=0, x=-2, x=2
3. factor......(x-3)(x+5) so x = 3 x=-5
4. factor the x.... x(x^2+8x+16) = x(x+4)^2 so x =0 x=-4
5. factor.... (x^2-4)(x^2-9)....then difference between squares ....
(x-2)(x+2)(x-3)(x+3)......x = -3, x = -2, x=2, x=3

For the first one you can factor an x out of each and you get:
X(X+2)=0
Set the X outside the parentheses to 0 and x+2 equal to 0
X=0
X=-2
For #2 Again you can factor out an X.
x(x^2-4)
Then you can factor the X^2-4 into:
(x-2)(x+2) then all of that times the x you factored out
x(x-2)(x+2)
set each to zero
x=0 (x-2)=0 (x+2)=0
The answers are 0, 2, & -2
For #3, Factor like normal (x+5)(x-3) To check this do 5*-3= -15 and -3+5=2 (the middle term)
Set each to zero and solve
#4 Factor out an X and factor as usual
Not sure out to do #5
Good luck and hope i helped!
