Bromeliad "Pups" does anyone know how........?
To detach the pups from the mother plant safely???? Please help in language that dummies would understand.. Thanks xxxx

Simply split off the pup by gently pulling it away from the parent starting at the top. Don't try to use a knife. Let the plant separate where it wants to.
Wait until the pup has several fully developed leaves.
Plant the pup in potting soil, deep enough so that the white part of the pup is below the soil surface.
Keep the soil moist and the pup in sunlight. You'll need to stake or somehow brace the pup upright until it has enough roots to stand alone. When watering, make sure you add a little water to the "cup" formed in the center of the leaves as this is where Broms store water.
