What does Yahoo! Answers consider a 'day' for answering questions?

I hit my answer limit last night, now I can't participate. I have searched the info page they link you with but nothing there describes this part of it. I tried clicking on feedback then live chat only to be directed to ATT/Yahoo Internet service who know nothing about this site.

What DO they consider as a 'day' , when does the 'clock' begin and when are you eligible again?

Do they start when you logged in for the first time in a day?

Is it upon entering your first answer?

Is it upon entering your last answer?

This torques me, I was a few points away from next level and now lose 5 more to ask this question THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE ANSWERED in the first place.

Pita you are missing 130 points right now Honey pay attention real quick go into your question's that you have answered in your profile see how many of them are in voteing it says it right at the end of the ? then go vote for yourself yes (your answer) i saw 13 of them on all of your 4 pages right now of your answers list they were in voteing thats an easy 130 points in one day assumeing that someone else dose not get them first so go vote 4 your answers when you reach level 5 you can answer as much as you want like all other people (,level fivers) now just think if you went into the subcatogorys and answered all the ones that are about to go into voteing the ones 3and 4 days old i answered some of them 1 min before they went into voteing then i just voted for myself in 2 weeks i was at level 5 using this method so i don't have to worry about it and don't pay attention to my point level it means nothing

another tip if you do answer new ?s put something down quick then submit that will keep you place at the top while others are answering you can then edit as much as you want

and it helps if you allow people to email you sometimes you will get the real best answer there i put it's in your email for my answer on one of my answers then i emailed that person the answer i got Best ANSWER it was way to long to put up here now she ask me ?s all the time by email

I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE COPY MY ANSWERS oh i read his answer so i wil put it to

like the guy below me he would have never added anything if he had not read mine then edited again

"This torques me" see what i mean

(edited for compliance with Yahoo! TOS. This is in the Answers section, the most heavily monitored section in all of Y!A, and they know when posts are edited. They will not tell a user this information. They are monitoring for point-gaming, multiple accounts and other violations. Just because you do not see the Y!A Team does not mean they aren't there, following certain users and all the computer IDs hidden in communications, above what is shown in the IP).

ADDED: GO VOTE ON YOUR OWN UNRESOLVED QUESTIONS. Each vote gains you one point, and increases the possibility of your answer being selected as best answer. You can easily gain 16 points and be at level 2, with higher daily limits.

The day changes at midnight Pacific Time, and all limits are begun anew.

No, it is on their clock. However, logging on will get you one point, but if you are logged on at midnight Pacific time, and do any action, you are awarded one point for visiting.

Edit: You have 242 points. If you haven't used up all your votes, go to "Discover" on the top right hand side of the screen and click to go to that page, then select "Vote-unresolved questions" and vote on enough questions to raise you to level 2. Then you can continue to answer at the level 2 limits. Each vote on an unresolved question is one point. You can vote, and after you reach level 2 you may rate questions and answers.

You may also go to your answer history on your profile page, and vote for your answer as the best answer, on the questions in voting, if you haven't already done so.

Don't forget to vote. Here are the daily limits in the link below.

Edit #2(changed after the previous post was changed to use the information I had provided. Had they been consistently using this technique, their percentage would be higher. In this change, I simply removed the redundant all caps in the headline, also posted before previous answer was changed.).

Just go to your profile page by clicking on your avatar, and scroll down to your answers, go below that and select "see more", and that will open 20 questions per page. On pages 3 and 4 of your history, there are 16 unresolved questions.

Edit #3(added after previous post was changed): If you do not wish to be contacted by email or IM, DO NOT enable your email function, even for a minute to contact another poster. With the email you send to another poster, even if you close your contact information, they may still contact you by responding to your email to them.

Edit4: I have not copied anyone's answers, nor have I based this response on anything that was in the thread before I told you to go vote. I deliberately indicate edits, because not doing so draws the attention and ire of the community. This does leave me open to attack by certain users.

Edit: From the Yahoo Answers history, this was the previous answerer's post.

"ok so just watch your answers " and made no reference to voting, much less how to find unresolved questions. I am not a cheater, level 6s have too much to lose by cheating.

ATTN: to Jane at the Y!A Team.

Yahoo! is located in California. They base their day on a day in California. Therefore, you need to allow for the time difference based on your location. California's timezone is -0800. Days start again at midnight, so your limits are replenished then. You can use your limits in an hour or in 20, but you have to wait again until it's midnight in California.

The next day starts at midnight, regardless of all else. If you reach your limit posting say between 10 pm and midnight, the next day will still start at midnight even though you did all of your posts in the previous two hours.

Uh, this is right, so I'll collect my 10 points now if you don't mind, thanks.

All day? You have more stamina than I do. I consider Yahoo Q and A a diversion.
