    not only yes, but hell yes. what other major college sport championship is decided by sports writers????? it would only take 3 weeks, and if they had the championship game on the saturday before the superbowl what a weekend that would be for the fans. the check that they would write out for the rights to broadcast it would be hugh.everyone wins..its a joke that it hasnt happened yet. you could still have the bowl system it would just be the first round of the play offs.16 teams are in .that goes to 8 after the bowls then 4 then the championship....

    Whatever Congress decides or doesn't decide, any legislation it tries to pass will be rendered moot. The mere attempt by legislators is nothing more than political grandstanding. It's like you saying you're against global warming. Sure, you're against it, but you can't make it change one way or another. Let's say such a bill does pass Congress. All the NCAA would have to do at that point is sue in the legislative branch and there the proposal will die. Congress would try to argue that the BCS is a living, breathing violation of existing anti-trust legislation but the fact is there is no violation no matter how anyone might try to spin the argument. However remote the possibility might be, every FBS team theoretically has a chance to play for the title. Thus, no anti-trust laws have been violated. And on top of that, there's nothing to stop any FBS team from dropping down to the FCS level where playoffs are in effect. Again, no anti-trust violation. It's not that I'm against a playoff but the financial reality of the situation is that the current bowl system without any doubt whatsoever generates more revenue than any 8 or 16 team playoff format ever could.

    No. I think there should be a playoff with the top 8 BCS teams. Keep all the smaller bowl games, and have the top 8 BCS teams play in the four major bowl games, then the four winners match-up, the two winners of those games should play for the championship.

    Yes, If I-AA can have a play off system, I-A can too. And the teams that do not make the cut can still go to a bowl!

    Yes. They don't realize that fans are going to watch every game if they did that. Now people just watch the national championship game and maybe the game that their team is in. In a playoff system, any team can win.

    Yes, they should defenitely have a playoff system. It works for Div. I-AA (Championship subdivision) and the NAIA and everyother football league, why don't they have a playoff? It just doesn't make any sense.

    yes, but ND and the rest of the Ind would have to merge with conf.

    Heres what you do, the Conf. Champions are invited to playoffs.

    Champs are seeded according to record.

    ND= Big Ten

    Navy & Army= Big East

    Temple = Some crappy conf.
