Yes. If all the leaves have dropped now is the time to prune it for fruit next year. Read on if you want to know how......

Briefly, cut back the main leaders (the new long bits on the ends of the main branches) by about 2/3. Cut back all the side shoots to leave just two buds. This will leave you with a main framework of branches with lots of bits sticking out with just two buds on. Grapevines fruit on new wood, so these bits will provide lots of fruit for next year.

If the vine is outside make sure all the ties are firm and the vine cannot blow about in the winter winds and good luck for next year's harvest.

It all depends on where you live. Grape vines should shoot new leaves and flowers in the spring and as it is now summer, I think you could have a problem unless it has been unseasonably cold where you live. If you bend a piece of the vine and it's flexible it's probably green and alive and if it snaps it's dead.

They should actually just lose their leaves. you can scratch off a small spot through the bark and tell if the plant is still alive underneath.

yes it is normal, its friggin freezing! to check to see if it is dead, cut into a thick branch, if it is green in the middle then it is alive.

Grapevines die back in the fall and winter so if it is fall and winter in your area then yes it is normal.
