i have a pioneer dehp3500 and to set mine you turn it off to where it shows the time, and then you hold down "some button (sorry dont remember which)" until the clock blinks. then you just push up and down to go to the right time

press the source button and hold until the unit powers off. Next press the function or audio button, which ever is on your unit, hold until hours start to flash. Simply arrow up or down to adjust hours, then arrow over to minutes and up or down to adjust. Press source to power up and your done.

first off, im not sure which pioneer stereo you are talking about but my guess would be look in the owners manual or stop by where you had in installed and ask them.
